Wow. Listening to the new Friends EP by Ween. Only up to the first track. All I can say is: circa 1995 gay disco. Not a good thing.
I'm awfully confused and concerned. I hope it picks up for track two. Well, I suppose "picks up" is a poor term to use, but you know what I mean.

nah, i think the song is pretty friggin' righteous. only a band like ween can push the genre-envelope like this and still stand tall. it's as if they can redefine a cringe-worthy genre by sheer force of wit and will. misguided ween fans doubted when they did their country album. i think the band is too good to doubt, and i'd be disappointed if they didn't continue to challenge their ardent listeners by testing their capacity for camp stylings. take a few pulls from the bong and play "friends" again... loud. then make like you're grinding at the roxy.
