Well, I fitted the PSU just now, got it all hooked up, pressed the power button, and exactly the same thing happened; a flash of power lights, then nothing.
And I lent Lilly my laptop for her trip to Sydney, too.
So it looks like I need a new PC.
Hmmm... Umart is open until 8pm tonight...

I also kept removing parts and pressing the power button in an attempt to troubleshoot. I stopped doing that and conceded defeat when an acrid burning smell wafted out from the motherboard somewhere.
Sigh.
