Waiting for a train

I'm so tired today. Well, I've been tired for the last week, I guess.
The good news us that I've shifted my blogging hours so that I start when I get home from work, so, theoretically, this should mean I can finish by about 9 or 10pm, giving me the choice of leisure or an early night.
I had to get into work early this morning to give a presentation at 8:45a. Unholy.
My train just arrived.
So begins my day.

The Attack of the Giant Bluebottle

I went up to the Sunshine Coast with Lilly yesterday.
It was a most lovely day. Perfect weather, great music, great conversation. We took the ferry over to the Noosa North Shore, and found a secluded beach down the end of a bush path. So perfect.
And then, for the first time ever, I got stung by a bluebottle. Ouch.
It was a long walk to the shops for some vinegar.

Not a good day today. Work was boring the first glad of the day, and then I found out that the data I created on Tuesday has, inexplicably, disappeared.
So now I have to create it again.
I hoped that drawing thud guy would cheer me up. I'm not sure it did.

Canned Coffee

The local Korean Supermarket had cans of coffee on sale for 80 cents each. It's not bad, and the coolness is preferable to hot coffee in this hellish weather.
Friday today, and my birthday tomorrow. Summafieldayze tomorrow, too, with Lilly (of course), Mike KP, Dave, and--making a special blast-from-the-past appearance--Sarah from my undergrad. I'm really, really excited. I'm taking Monday off to recover.
We've booked a hotel for Sat and Sun nights, so it should be a blast of a weekend.
Can't.
