Talan's 21st

Man. What a party. I only remember two things after the speeches; falling off of a bale of hay, and sitting next to the toilet. I don't remember throwing up, but Ally said she had to flush spew, and my teeth felt like I had thrown up.
I can say with fair confidance that I drank too much.
But what an awesome party it was. Totally awesome.
I'm currently in Cessnock waiting for pizza. I hope I can stomach it.

Tristan's 24th Party Photos

I've just finished uploading photos from Tristan's 24th Birthday Bash.
Funny that I call it "Tristan's" when it was actually on Belinda's 24th Birthday, but because Belinda had her party the night before, this year I give Tristan the rights to the 11th August.
I ramble.
Just look at the darn photos...

Jenny's Birthday Hunter Adventure

Yet another weekend spent up at the Hunter.
Only this time it was with Leanne's family. It was Leanne's Mum's (Jenny) birthday last week, and she decided to head up to the Hunter in celebration.
Jenny and Allan hired a cottage at Millbrook Estate, which was very lovely. Not only was it pretty, but the wine was awesome.
Ross may remember it - we went there in the Kombi with Connie and her friend, a thousand moons ago.
We arrived up in the Hunter on Friday night, but didn't do anything interesting (Leanne and I stayed at the Cedar Creek house - Mum came up, but didn't arrive until midnight or so. In fact, we barely saw Mum on the weekend, and Leanne's parents didn't at all. Bit of a shame.
Jenny & Allan came around on Saturday morning, and we drove down to Wollombi in the hopes of visiting the Horse Heaven Gallery. They were meant to be open, but unfortunately they were closed. Which sucked. So we decided to try again the next day.
So we drove up to Stonehurst (Cedar Creek), and tasted their wines. Jenny and Allan bought a case of wine at the 50% off sale (all storm damaged cases are 50% off).
We then drove to Jenny and Allan's place at Millbrook Estate for some more wine tasting.
It was really nice (possibly better than Cedar Creek... shhh...). He makes them all on-site, which is nice in itself. So I bought some wine, and as a birthday gift to Jenny, paid for the bottles she wanted. This totalled over a case between us.
By now I was feeling a little tipsy, and was very keen for lunch, as we all were.
So we drive over to Country Farm Delights in the Hunter Valley gardens. They are now called something different, but it's the same owner, and the food is actually even bigger now. I used to always get their Savoury Mince; two slices of toast, flavoured mince on top. Craving it, I ordered it this time. Only now it's 4 slices of toast, mince and a ton of bacon. Check it out. Crazy awesome.
So we were all so full afterward, and not looking forward to dinner.
Oh yes, dinner. We planned to go to The Australia Hotel in Cessnock (more specifically, the Swill & Grill within The Australia Hotel), but, as has never happened to me before, they were booked out. I blame the concert. So that was a bit of a shame. Instead we went to Harrigan's Irish Pub. I'm very glad that Leanne and I decided to share dinner, because there was altogether too much food.
In the mean time, Leanne's brother, Aaron, and his girlfriend, Kate, were heading up to meet us.
We met them at my house, and bummed around there for a little bit (I showed them the place), then went to meet Jenny and Allan, and head off to Harrigan's for dinner. You already know that we ate there. It was good. We were full.
Afterward we went back to Jenny and Allan's place and had cheese and dessert wine. Mmmmmm.
Then Aaron, Kate, Leanne and I went back to mine and bummed around again - we were too tired to drink, and I had a headache from drinking that day anyway.
Earlier in the day, Philippa from Cedar Creek told us of the Wollombi Ball that was on that night - and we had all intentions on going - only after Harrigan's we were so full and tired, and it was already 9:30pm, and it was so far away... so we didn't. Shame. It would have been good.
So, Saturday night wasn't the event we thought it would be, but it was fun nonetheless. Unfortunately, Aaron had to be in Sydney by 1pm, so he left around 10am, so we didn't get to do anything with him on Sunday. Another shame.
But Jenny and Allan came over, and we went back down to Wollombi in the hopes that Horse Heaven was open. Wasn't. Bitch.
So we drive back to mine, and were side-tracked by Lavender Gate Farm; a lovely little café on the way home. We popped in there for a light lunch, and ended up getting a lot more than expected.
We ordered a pizza and a mezze platter, and it was plenty. Unfortunately (so many unfortunates...), they burnt it, but bless them, they didn't charge us for it. Plus I get a locals discount of 10% off. Great days.
Jenny and Allan headed back home after that, but Leanne and I stayed up at Cedar Creek and waited for Mum and Pete/Talan. They had to come up to drop Pete/Talan off at College, so we went out to dinner with them, and Pete/Talan's friend Sharon. We went to the Swill & Grill. Good food. So full.
We then had to drive to Maitland to drop them off, and then back to Cedar Creek to pack, and then back to Carlingford, and then Mum had to drive back to Newport. Poor dear.
Me being the big old nerd that I am, decided to map the way from Tocal (Pete/Talan's college) back to Cedar Creek. I really wanted to do it from Cedar Creek to Sydney, but the GPS reception on my phone is so poor, that I have to hold it up to the window the whole time, and couldn't be fucked doing that for a further hour-and-a-half. What's groovy about my phone is that I can export my journeys to Google Earth. So I did as such and had a good ole gander at the journey. I need to look into the ways it can be represented though.
Anyhow.
So. That was my weekend.
I was so fucked Monday morning, that I took the day off, and ended up getting that much needed haircut (those following my Jaiku stream would already know this). There are some photos here, if you want to check them out. It's hot. I also posted to the Haiku channel about it here.
And I think that's it.
Have fun, and keep it real.

My "Job"

Ok, so I have a job.
Some of you will not know this. Some of you will not care. I myself do not care that I have a job.
It is a crappy job.
I make ads. Very silly ads.
I use very old programs that are only one step above Microsoft Paint.
I do not appreciate a five-week training module that pays me less per hour and in which I do nothing except purchase food and wonder if anyone would notice if I masturbated at my desk.
I have two trainers, one of whom uses the word 'dubious' a dubious amount of times per day.
In the four weeks I have been here, we have done a solid 10 hours of actual work. This would be ok if the rest of our time was spent larking, but it's not. I have to pretend to pay attention for 8 hours a day, to information that is handled poorly, repeated too often, and given out too slowly.
I am boredom personified.

I was hired as one of a group of ten new recruits, some of us to work day shift and some of us to work night. I opted to work day shift, but upon starting my training (which is during the day) I found out that all ten of us were actually hired to work night shift. Five nights a week. For only $1 more an hour. Bugger that!

If I were to work night shift, not only would I would waste all day sleeping, but I would never see Simon or indeed anyone at all beyond my work friends. As Simon would not want to stay living at my house when I won't ever be there, he would move out... to Newport I suppose, which would make seeing him even more difficult. (Also, it wouldn't be entirely wise to move out together as my job is not stable enough for the long term). This is not what we want.

Yesterday I went to see Steve, who organises the shifts. I asked him if I could work days as the recruitment agency had told me (and everyone) that days would be available. I was denied, and he tried to tell me that "sometimes people get flustered or nervous during interviews and they don't quite listen properly... and they get the wrong impression about the times they work." What a cockmonkeyed thing to say. I told him that everybody had been not only given that impression, but told outright that day shifts were available. But still he fobbed me off with the excuse that there are no desk spaces free during the day (despite the fact that 5 minutes prior to this discussion we had attended a farewell afternoon tea for two day shift workers).

So my plan is thus: Next monday (I finish my training on Tuesday) I am going to go talk to Steve again and tell him that I will be quitting if I cannot have day shifts. I don't quite expect him to capitulate, but I may as well try. I am also going to give him a printed copy of the seek advertisement that recruited us, to confirm to him that all ten of us were not simply "nervous" during our interviews. We were misled by the recruitment company (to what real purpose? I assume it was a mistake on the part of the recruitment agency rather than the company as at makes no sense to knowingly hire people who can't work night shift as you're then paying for training for no reason. On the other hand, the recruitment agency could have made the mistake on purpose, as they THEN get to hire MORE REPLACEMENT workers, and thus make more commission...) and I am going to tell Steve as such.

So yes. This is my "job".

On the brighter side, Simon is taking me out tonight for my birthday (which was a couple of days ago). Yay! I'm really looking forward to it.

Boggle's 24th, a Meeting with Sophie, and an Overpriced CD.

EDIT: Photos added!
Fun!
Although things get a bit hazy toward the end...
Met up with Boggle at the blisteringly early hour of 4pm (what's a birthday party if the host isn't drunk by the time the guests arrive?), and started on the turps at Lord Nelson's. The wonderful thing about winter is that it means Nelson's Blood is on tap. I fucking love that beer. While Boggle and I were hoping to get a meal there, the kitchen was not yet open, so we grabbed a pork pie each... I could totally go a pork pie right now, actually... they were good. Served with Mustard and Relish. Mmmm. Yeah, I want one now. Dammit. Stoopid stuck at work.
Anyhow.
We left there after a pint and a pork pie to head to The Hero of Waterloo, which was to be the main destination of the night, and the meeting point for everyone else. Pints are tricksy things, y'know... I was close to drunk by the time Leah (sorry if I spelt that incorrectly...) arrived. So as Boggle and I were getting drunk quickly, and Leah was hungry, we decided to get some food. Both Boggle and I bought their Hero Beef Burger, and Leah a salad. Tasty burger, man. I like the Hero; good food, good music, good atmosphere. Just wish they had Lord Nelson's beer...
We ate and continued drinking, and started moving further into the realm of drunk.
More and more people arrived, but I don't so much remember the order in which they did do.
We met some cool random people; Italians and Campbelltownians among the memorable.
Actually, the guy from Campbelltown was pretty fucking funny. He was hyperactive and had a good sense of humour (even if quite often it was "at" not "with"). He reckoned John 5 (not the robot) was the best guitarist ever, and said this as if it was fact. He only said it because his brother said so, and he trusted his brother's opinion. Of course, this is the first time I've ever heard of him being an exceptional guitarist... needless to say, I don't believe him. He claimed that he was good at bluegrass, and bluegrass was the hardest style of music to play. Silly man.
But he was funny.
So by now, my memories are becoming hazy. I remember Leanne arriving. I remember leaving the pub. I remember going to one nearby (although I don't remember the name). I remember getting cocktails there (and a TASTY chocolate one). I remember falling off my chair because of my heel getting caught on the foot rest (heel + a chocolate cocktail sounds a little queer...). I remember seeing Boggle in a bin. I remember going to McDonalds. I remember ending up at The Brooklyn. I remember not enjoying it and feeling drunk. I remember leaving. I remember the bouncer not letting Boggle in because he had a bag. I remember insulting the bouncer because of it. I remember a cab trip home (but not hailing it). I remember the cabbie nodding off and drifting across lanes. I remember surviving, and being happy about it. I remember waking up, feeling like I was floating. I remember waking up a second time and feeling better.
But indeed, it was good fun.
Sophie contacted me that night. She's about to leave for England (maybe even left by now?), and we both wanted to meet up before she left. So we arranged to grab lunch the next day - so it was good that I felt better the second time I woke up.
We met up at Macquarie Centre, and had Japanese. Very tasty. It was good to see her again, and I'm envious of her trip to England. I wish I could be travelling again. I really, really, really want to go travelling again.
Saturday night was the Cracker Carnival at Leanne's old Primary School (Murray Farm Public). It was cool. We took a lot of photos, and they too will be posted to flickr. Link coming soon. It was cool to have be around a carnival atmosphere again, and fireworks are always cool.
The next day we were to meet up with Pete (Talan) down at Newport, as I haven't seen him in some time. Mum was up in the Hunter, but she arrived by about 7:30pm and we had Thai with her. Tasty Thai down at Newport, but their noodles aren't as good as Sweeney's or Chat Thai. Also, my new Sopor Aeternus CD (and LP) was down there waiting for me.
I'm a little disappointed with it. Not worth the $100 they charged (for the CD alone). Because the site I bought it off was in German, I couldn't get a decent description of what it contained (despite using online translators), but looking at their previous bonuses (grave dirt, communion wafers, funeral wreaths, tshirts, patches, posters, DVDs among others, I figured it would be something super cool.
Nope.
It's in a nice box, and it's in a nice format (large, maybe 20cm x 20cm) with a nice booklet. But the bonus was a signed card (which, despite being cool, I already have one of) and a manga comic of the album. Whoopee. Well, the comic is big, but I don't like Manga. Here is what Babel Fish tells me it came with:

The CD comes in, a stable Deluxe limited on 2000 copies box with 6-seitigen Digipak in the 7"(!)-Sonderformat, 40-seitigem Booklet of inclusive all texts, extensive illustrations and exclusive photos, 112-seitigem Sopor Aeternus Manga Comic and one of Anna Varney personally by hand coined/shaped and marked dear map.
Dear map? Coin? Those where the the things that intrigued me. The coin is a stamp in the corner of the signed card, and the dear map is the card. Shit. $100 of terrible value. Dammit. The last box set was heaps better. I haven't really listened to the album yet, as I wasn't really home yesterday to listen to it, and I forgot to rip it to my mp3 player before I left for work on Monday morning. I also didn't bring my iriver to work today. So tomorrow I shall have a listen. I hope it's really good. I might add I got number 1999 (2000 would have been cooler, but 1999 is still pretty cool)
I also bought the album as a twin LP set (which was only $50, and limited to 500 copies! Where's the logic? - I got number 147(?) maybe?), and as is the usual deal when vinyl comes through the post, it was damaged, so that was disappointing. I actually ordered the vinyl because I'm quite fond of vinyl, and it had a different cover - because of this different cover, I thought there would be different artwork, but no, it's an identical booklet to the CD. And while in transit, the booklet tore away a little from the staples that hold it to the sleeve. This on top of the dents in the corners makes me a little unhappy. Grrr... But it came with two posters (which means I now have three Sopor Aeternus posters now... hmmm, I don't think I need three...). So, a disappointing parcel.
On a happier note, the adaptor that I bought to hook up Peter's laptop HDD to a USB port works a charm! I tried it when I met him at Newport, and moved his old music and photos off of his broken laptop, and onto his new one. So that's good.
I should cover the events of today and last night, but I think I've typed enough for one post, so I will leave you at this, and add the events when I get home tonight, or maybe even tomorrow at work (as this lack of work will probably continue).

Leanne's Wallet

Leanne received a package yesterday (at Carlingford). Within it was her wallet and a "with compliments" slip from Home nightclub.
This is the wallet that she lost at my birthday party... in January. The one we thought was taken from James Squires Brewery.
This is odd for many reasons.

  1. We'd been inside Home for all of 1 minute (hadn't even fully left the hallway) when we realised we'd lost the wallet - this is why we assumed it wasn't lost inside of Home.
  2. Why did Home take 5 months to send the wallet out? Did they only just find it, or do they have a really bad lost property centre?
  3. It's lucky that they sent it to Carlingford because there was a change of address label on the back of her license, and we may never have gotten the wallet back if it was sent to Linton Ave (although we are heading there this afternoon to perform the final clean).
  4. How did she get into Home without her ID? This point is a little strange... I think it was because we were with Pete's brother (whose name I don't remember).
Of course, the $200 wasn't in it. So we wonder if someone found it on the night, emptied it and threw it somewhere (which could explain why it wasn't found for 5 months), or if someone at Home stole the money when they found the wallet. Either way, it's expected to be emptied.
But I still want to know how it took 5 months to appear. Where was it that it could go unnoticed by the tens of thousands (possibly hundreds of thousands) of people that would have been in that club since January? And what did Home do to reveal it after all this time? Did it fall down the stairs? Behind a speaker? Under a locker?
Whatever happened, we have it back. Within was a cancelled credit card, HCF card and her license. As well as a Linton Ave key and her car keys (of which a spare is now kept in my wallet). Because of her last wallet disappearance (when her glove box swallowed it) Leanne was able to use her old license for the last few months - and as such never cancelled her missing license (coz we were about to move anyway).
So at least now she doesn't have to pay for a new license.

Long time

Been a while, eh?
You probably could have guessed that I finally (what's so final about it?) remembered to bring my book. So my morning commute has been spent reading it, rather than posting a blog.
Anyways.
I'm pretty confident that the last thing I left you with was the Presidents concert. Pretty confident. How long ago was that? 1 week 4 days. I bet you've been lonely without a post for so long!
I don't really remember anything spectacular about the week after the Presidents, so I'll start with the weekend following (aka last weekend).
The weekend had been nominated as a "weekend of international festivities." Friday was a Southern Night, celebrated with Kentucky Fried Chicken (predictive text insists on the much less appetising Kentucky Dried Chicken), Southern Comfort and Coke (which was actually rather tasty), and the movie The Ladykillers (another wonderful Cohen Brothers film).
Saturday was celebrated with a trip to Ikea, in recognition of Sweden's recent performance in the "least corrupt countries" list. I might add that we also celebrated this with a plate of meatballs. Ikea is... odd. I can understand their crappilly made cheap stuff, but even their expensive stuff is crappilly made. What's the deal with that? Chipboard? Get over it Sweden. Or at least use the high grade stuff. Losers. And your meatballs were SUB-PAR!
For dinner, we decided to celebrate Australia's proud American heritage by going to the Outback Steakhouse in North Strathfield. I'd been to the one in Parklea before (for Pete's 19th) and thought it only average. On Saturday it was AWESOME. Most of us (us being Jon, Boggle, Brendan, Leanne and I) ordered the ribs, but Brendan got a Big Bugger Burger. We were all fucken stoked with our meals. They were the most tender ribs I've ever had; you didn't need a knife! You could just pull them apart as if they were perforated! Awesome! And the Bloomin Onion was awesome too. Oh man, I've just made myself hungry. Best part was that it only cost like $30 inc entree and a 650mL beer. Fucken A.
Sunday was Nat's annual birthday BBQ, but that story will have to wait as I just arrived at Town Hall.

Birthdays

What a kickass weekend.
But I'll get to the kickassness in a moment. Barwick called me on Thursday night... drunk. He was keen to meet up, and said he'd call to hang out on Firday night, but never did.
I met up with Boggle on Friday for lunch, and he was still around after work, so I met up him and grabbed some food (pizza), and we started to head back to mine. We also decided that on the way to mine, we might as well stop off at Ryde Eastwood Leagues Club, coz the beer is cheap.
We called Leanne, and she decided to meet us too, and Jon said he would too. So we all did. Brendan came after work too. Joy! The dancing Asian lady was there too! She goes off... I can't do her justice. She had kicks and twirls this time too. Awesome.
Ended up staying alot longer than we imagined we would. Boggle and Jon came back to ours, but headed back home shortly.
Saturday was the day of both Denise and Monique's birthdays. So that meant present shopping... ended up buying Denise a book and a (terrible) calendar. The book, I might add, was The Worst Mistakes in History and Who Made Them. It looked entertaining and interesting, and as it turns out, Denise left her job two weeks ago, so is keen for reading material. Exxxcellent. We (Ross, Jon, Leanne and I) ended up buying Monique a pair of sunglasses. She seemed very happy with them, and she was looking for a pair for herself anyway. I rule.
While I was with Ross getting presents, Leanne and Brendan were out finding bargains. We now have a fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, and a rice cooker. I also bought a bottle opener. Nice.
It was decided that Leanne and I would go to Denise's party first, then head to Monique's afterward (everyone else went to Monique's only). Denise's was super kick-ass! Really good food, great company, and unlimited sangria! Woohoo! Yeah man, It fucken ruled. Leanne and I ended up staying a lot longer than we intended, and didn't get to Monique's until after 1am... woops. I think it was better to see Monique in a smaller group anyway, and it was indeed lovely to see her again. But she'd been sick all day, and headed home shortly after we arrived (I might add that Leanne and I didn't even arrive in time for last drinks). But the remainder of us headed to Jacksons on George for those obligatory early-morning drinks. The remainder of us was Leanne, Jon, Boggle, Mike S, Ross, (Leanne's friend) Catherine and I. surprisingly, Jacksons wasn't playing RnB in the Pool Bar, but rather, House music (muuuuch better). So that was good. But there was noone up there. No real problem. We had our obligatory drinks, and headed back. Mike was dricing, but Leanne and I caught a lift back with Catherine to West Ryde. While I only spent a brief amount of time with her, she seemed cool. I was greatful for the lift too.
Today we (Brendan, Leanne, Boggle, Jon and I) went to see Beerfest. Fucking funny shit man. REALLY fucking funny shit man. Anyone reading this HAS to go see it. It's really, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, funny. So, if I haven't convinced you to see it yet, I will say one more time; go see it.
And now I'm sitting in front of my computer typing this.

That is all.

Who's house? JOOON'S HOUSE!!

Sitting here at Jon's place, all by myself. Why? Jon's at work, that's why!
That doesn't clarify the situation any, Simon...
Oh.
Well, it's because I'm staying the night here because I thought Mum wasn't coming down to Sydney tomorrow, and I'm going out in Sydney tomorrow for Tristan's birthday (it's on Saturday... It's Brendan's on Friday... but Tristan booked us first, so I don't know what's happening with Brendan's birthday. Unless it's Sunday. I always forget what side of Tristan's birthday it lies... anyway).
So I'm staying at Jon's tonight. The plan was that I would be bringing over a bunch of my crap from Scotland Island because the lease runs out in 3 weeks, and we have to move our stuff.
But why move it to Jon's?
My, aren't you full of questions tonight intrepid reader. I bet your not even really intrepid...
because I've decided that above evrything else, I need a job.
What? But why are you moving your stuff to Jon's. Shit you're a pain in the arse, Simon.
Well, because I'm not going to find a job up in Wollombi, so I've decided to find a job somewhere with train access, and I'll stay at Jon's when that happens. I'm typing a new CV this week, and will begin looking for jobs this week too. Matter of fact, Mum's crazy (but helpful) friend Jenny has already given me a number to call on Monday. So I'll be doing that, and I have to send him my CV by Tuesday, so I need to get typing soon.
But anyway, back to me sitting at Jon's all alone.
Time wasn't kind to us today, and we weren't able to get to Scotland Island to pick up my stuff, so I'll have to go over there tomorrow to get it all (Mum has to head to the Nthn Beaches tomorrow for Peter's appointment to do with his leg anyway). I need to get my stuff tomorrow too, as I have to pick up my clothes for tomorrow night. As you recall it is the celebration for Tristan's 23rd tomorrow night, and we are going into the city for it (meeting at Pancakes at the Rocks). Hot shit. Should be tons o' fun.
Also, when I pick my shit up, I can finally put music on my iriver. it sucks with only 5 CDs on it... I want my collection back!!
Is that it? I reckon.

Oh, and almost as a side note, I have been so broke lately that I wasn't able to pay my phone bill from 2 months ago, and my phone has been barred from all outgoing activity... so if you've left voice messages, I can't check 'em, and if you've been expecting reply SMS's, then you won't get 'em. I'm paying the remainder tomorrow, and hopefully it wil be reconnected soon. I don't know why I'm posting this, as I'll be seeing you all tomorrow, but as I've typed it, I'm not going to delete it now.

Concert(s)

So, last update, it didn't occur to me to talk about the eels concert that I went to on Wed the 20th Oct with Mum, Linden, Monique and Jess.
It was freakin awesome. They toured with a quartet (well, there was four of them on strings, if that is the definition of a quartet, then that's what it was), so there was a great spin on the songs. The drummer ("The Chett") was awesome, and actually more than a drummer (which is why he was awesome). They weren't actually drums as such, but rather a suitcase and a trash-can. So cool. The Chett also played those country and western slide guitars (the ones that aren't guitars, but actually a board with strings on it and a pedal), the saw (totaly awesome), and numerous other instruments I can't recall.
During one of the songs (I wish I could remember which), all the string players put donw their string instruments and picked up a percussion instrument. One of the instruments was a dildo that she held against the mic to give a rattly-like sound. Fekkin cool.
E walked out on stage wearing a suit, and a bowler-like hat, brandishing a cane, a cigar and a brandy. Tops.
It was a really god-damn good concert (although I wasn't as happy afterward as I was with the first time I saw them). And E really treats the audience well. He talks to us as if it were in one-on-one conversaton. When he was talking one time, someone shouted something out, and he says "shhh..... talking." I liked that.
The best part was the final encore though. Like the last concert of theirs that I went to (2003), they performed one final encore after even the house lights were turned on; just for the fans that stuck around. They all came out in their pajamas; one of the string players (who were originally wearing evening dress) came out in eels underpants. So cool.
So yeah, it was a rip-snorting concert.

And on Wednesday night (the 26th), I saw Electric Six with Boggle and Monique.
That was some freakin awesome rock and roll funk disco. The opening act was Midnight Juggernauts. I've heard their name before, but had never heard them before. They were really fucking cool. Like horror electro rock. Yeah they were awesome. A great opening band always makes a concert so much better.
The lead singer from Electric Six had such a mad presence. He would wave at the crowd, pose for the crowd (a long, very still forced smile) and generally just be fucking awesome. A really top gig.
On the way home, I ran into an old friend from uni, Sophie. She was catching the same bus as us (to Milson's Point), and we talked all the way there, then we hopped on the train home, and continnued talking. I made sure I had her number. A tops night overall.

I've got Nat's Birthday BBQ this Sunday. I'll probably meet up with him on Saturday first though, and stay over.
Unfortunately I'm pretty sick right now, so I'm hoping that I feel better before then.
Also becase Daylight savings starts Sunday, and all next week I am working at Safe Installations (7am starts... 5:30am wake-ups). Bloody daylight savings.
So I hope I feel better ASAP.

My DS is still without a DS game (only have BA games). Nuts. But I suppose it's worth it coz I bought A Feast For Crows yesterday instead of a game. I've been waiting 3 years for that sucker to come out. I'm up to page 100, and it seems good so far. I'm going to read it when I'm done on this post.
And it looks like I'm done on this post.
Keep it rockin' folks!
